Who do you use?
Right now, I'm using AWS Route 53. But it's
expensive. There are many free offerings (e.g.,
this list). I wonder who I should trust. DNS is kinda important.
I used FreeDNS (https://freedns.afraid.org/) for a few years back in the day...
I use
https://www.domeneshop.no/ for my own domains.
We use
https://www.gandi.net/ at work for both DNS and SSL.
I would have used
ghandi.net for domain registration, but it costs $5/year more than
namecheap.com for each domains and certificate. And I'm cheap.

namecheap doesn't allow you to create a zone file for your domain until AFTER you point it at their nameservers! and they don't seem to understand how ridiculous this is.

Do they auto monitor for confirmation then auto enable? I just moved a domain and got the confirmation from another vendor 24hours after I started getting valid dns responses. I hope it doesn't work like that for you

hey larz, that original twitter link is dead. how many hosted zones do you have?
6. costs $3/month regardless of requests. not awful, but it's just extra money that doesn't need to be spent for world-class dns hosting.
the stupidest one: domain reg + zone hosting just to redirect
thinktankforums.com here.
