Arrived at the parking lot at around noon. It was a nice hike though it was super hot. I drank 3 liters of water before I hit the major switch-backs. The hike up was about 5 hours because I took it slow and also hit another point from the saddle just under a mile away.
I refilled at a spring and I had a solid 2 1/2 liters left when I got to the camp site. Cooking was fine, I tried my new stove and it rules. It's a <a href="http://www.brunton.com/product.php?id=299">Brunton</a>, canisters are about $2.50. Otherwise everything went well, hiking back to the car from campsite was from 7:50-9:30.
I got home at around 10:20, showered and kicked it for the remainder of the day.

So I drank from a spring, I thought that's why I got sick this week. It may have been a macking session instead. Flu + Strep. Results will be in the next day or so to see if I have any other bug or whether I have a virus.
I forgot to mention I got a <a href="http://www.platypushydration.com/product_detail.aspx?ProdID=9">3 liter Platypus Hoser</a> that worked out well. I didn't get any whittling done but my new leatherman kf4 is pretty great, I used the pliers for bending some hard wire loops to repair my backpack that would have been really difficult with rocks or my hands. I forgot a spoon so the blade was used to jab sausages for eating, and scoop noodles in my face from a cup.
So my platy hoser was 18 from sports chalet (regularly 22.95 unshipped from platy direct), leatherman was 38 shipped (regularly 68 unshipped from amazon)
