so i used dvd shrink (http://www.dvdshrink.org/what.html) to rip part of a dvd. it put the a/v into these weird formats. how do i encode this shit into a divx avi?

the only one I know of is mencoder. it's written by the mplayer people. I know there's an mplayer port for Windows, I guess you could see if there's an mencoder one too.
