so thanks to the help of asztal the winker, i got inline css working for the hoodwink'd box on ttf. here's what i'm using:

Well it looks like hoodwinkd is not up anymore, or in development. Why's overall code site is pretty cool though, and he hasn't migrated it to the dormant projects section yet.
