i might have started a riot if i was there
stupid on both sides...
tazing the first time was reasonable in my opinion because he sure as fuck sounded unstable to me. the times after that were less and less reasonable due to the handcuffs.
that said i highly doubt he would've been incapacitated to the point of not standing up after one or even two tazings. not to mention he never once said "i can't stand up"
my friend was tazed as a demonstration of the implied safety of tazers in a report for the local news station, he was walking around 5-10 seconds afterwards. in fact he was back at work for an 8 hour day 10 minutes later with only muscle stiffness comparable to a good workout.
also his initial ranting as to the tazing relating to the patriot act gives me the idea that he may have been inciting (or at least escalating) a situation for the benefit of a cause. much like pulling a fake gun on police officers in order to be shot.
the last comment by the officer to "leave or i'll taze you also" was horribly stupid though.
i sure hope i spelled tazing right.
jason
comes outta nowhere
i'm glad they sicked the aclu on those bastards
if I could tase people for being unstable, my job would be a torture chamber.
I don't think the first one in the video was the first taser hit. The whole thing was stupid on both sides like db said. The guy who wasn't cooperating was being a bit sensational but I can see how he could have thought that they were being extra pushy for tasing him for not leaving. I have to kick out regulars at the library here too and it's frustrating, I get political rants worse than the one that guy seemed to be on, except there isn't the conflict with the taser to deal with.
fun times!
tasers kill people occasionally.. so i don't think this is the best use for them
