nothing is wrong - what are you scared of?
I'm working on a resume for a photography internship this summer. Any tips on shining it up or anything? style tips or content- anything really?
Never really wrote one before for anything other than school :o
preferred resume style seems to be fairly dependent on the field. i know how to write a decent work-related resume, and i know how to do academic resumes (curriculum vitae).
if you post one up, i can give some constructive criticism, if you'd like.
I bookmarked this site a while ago on my google notebook:

I could send you a copy of mine if you want. that's basically how I did mine. looked at a few other peoples' and took what looked good.

I also had someone look over it for me. an "older professional" sort of person. they gave me some helpful tips. I doubt I still have the e-mail they sent me though.

looks really nice. kind of hip-feeling, if you know what I mean. my resume looks like a boring Word document, which is exactly what it is.
yeah ditto, mine looks like a cookie-cutter word doc. I have one I'm sketching up in LaTeX but I'm not lovin' the content at all.
argh
finance summer recruiting season is just kicking up.
i got my hair cut today. i told the girl that i have a job interview with a bank next week and she gave me a business haircut (e.g.

which is a striking difference from the shag i normally rock. oh well. and it actually isn't a bank, it's a private equity firm, but i don't think she would have minded.
and as soon as this one is over i have about ten more lined up (supposing i don't get it).
and i've been slaving over my resume for the past few hours. just what i wanted to do on a saturday night.
oh snap I redid mine in TeX!
so i will be applying at 35+ firms for a summer placement...
i'm not looking forward to writing cover letters this christmas break
also dp the link you posted is gold

oof that is a lot of cover letters. think you'll be able to reuse content between them?
i can write probably 3-4 templates (to reflect the size of the organization) and modify sentences to suit the individual characteristics of employers, so yes, thankfully.
lucas, update your cv on your site
any particular reason?
other than an out of date resume? nope
damn, i was hoping that you were helping me find work.
What kind of job do you want? Programming/tech or more in the economics/financial business?
i don't care. just some well-paying consulting work for next summer
