Kinda looks like someone took a dump and you used it as a background, but other than that its simple, and effective.

If I shit patterns like that i'd be packaging that shit and displaying it at the Met.

it kinda sucks that i never tested the chocovanilla theme in IE, because it doesn't work well. but i guess they did grab the current version and not the stable.

Not really it seems pretty simple. That's kind of the reason I decided to use it. Obviously you don't seem to have an interface for creating ttf_forum entries but that's fine I can add them manually for now. Aside from that css bug there really doesn't seem to be anything wrong with it. Though I might look into customizing the main page and possibly attempting to integrate simple viewer for screenshots.

though i am kinda unsure what the dbms tables thing does... and... you should probably remove the link to your phpmyadmin page from the svn repository. your call though.

would also be nice to be able to edit posts =P ignore posts and things of that nature...

other interesting feature that i haven't seen in forums usually is the ability to embed youtube style videos. might be interesting... I dunno now I'm just brainstorming.

One last one... maybe being able to setup specific group access rights on forums...

thanks for the response!

in the coming weeks, i plan to finish up the 1.0 release. this includes filling out the backend, adding edit and archive features, and more. a lot of this info can be found on our google code page. i just added issues for an admin interface to edit rows in ttf_forum and fix the css bug.

the admin_dbms.php is kinda a ghetto backend. pretend that you want to delete a post from ttf_post.
1. run "update ttf_thread set date=0 where thread_id={$thread_id}"
2. run "delete from ttf_post where post_id={$post_id}"
3. then go to admin_dbms.php and click "thread date (increase only)". this will go through every post in every thread and set the thread date to the post date if the thread date is smaller.
4. then click "thread posts". this will count the number of posts in each thread and update the number.
5. run "update ttf_forum set date=0 where forum_id={$forum_id}"
6. click "forum date". this will go through every thread in every forum and set the forum date to the thread date if the forum date is smaller.

obviously this is really ghetto and there's a million ways to do this more easily. it'll be gone soon with a better backend. it's kinda a way to delete a post, but it's also just some checks to run on the database to keep it sane.

yeah, i'll take out the link to phpmyadmin. to be honest, we weren't expecting anyone to use our code anytime soon.

we'll think about the groups and youtube ideas. thanks!

Hey nny, you should submit your changes back, I'd like to see some of your progress with the version you've got if you get a chance and don't mind. I see that you've put in simpleviewer, images for a forum description and an adsense ad. Any other big changes that have helped in your use of the forum software?

and yeah it is perilous :D

Trying out a new Screenshot system. Had to use an iframe...since the viewer.swf isn't accepting params for xml location yet.
