does anyone here paint? if so, i'd like to hear about it.
i'm about to jump into acrylics.. i plan on doing moderately abstract stuff, but it will likely get less and less abstract as i improve.

The yellow ruins it for me, larz. :( Otherwise it's good work.
yeah, i'm not ecstatic about it
I enjoy the top 3/4

Okay, I think the problem is this: the clash between the bottom and the top is too much or not enough. It could go either way.
haha okay
i paint when i'm camping (canoeing), that's it.
i'm working on my next one on an 8x11 stretched canvas
it's gonna take a while, though
acrylics, eh.
i use watercolours.
p.s. ttf seems to die in ie7- (just formatted my x60).
define death.

``"are you lost or something?" one asked. Not speaking, Francis shook his head and triedto keep going. That's when one of the men aimed a .44 revolver at his head and told him that they didn't like "niggers." Francis faced the man. The man pulled the trigger. Francis remembers having a crazy reaction: "Damn," he thought. "I didn't Make a painting today!" There was no bullet in the chamber, and when the fact settled in, he used his fingers to make the universal sign of walking and motioned his intention to the men. Then he made the "OK" sign with his thumb and index finger and turned his back."
i stretched my first canvas today!
it's 16"x36". i'll also be stretching two 30"x40" canvases soon.
p.s. those three cost about $35 in canvas and lumber.
i just finished a triple-coat of gesso on my 16"x36". it's a thing of beauty. i don't want to paint anything on it now. :(
i've painted a decent amount since my last post in this thread!
tonight i used about 3oz. of golden heavy body quinacridone magenta acrylic. and most of it was to just make a black! sigh--it kept coming out too green.
not to mention i'm working on covering an entire wall of my apartment with paintings.
i'm thinking of creating a "painting" project on my website and posting some pictures of my work.
i just ordered this from the bookstore:
-> 8oz. jar of golden heavy body acrylic quinacridone magenta
-> 8oz. jar of golden heavy body acrylic hansa yellow medium
/o/ so much cheaper than 2oz. tubes.

Bob Ross ftw?

the 8oz. jar of magenta cost $23.
but a 2oz. tube of magenta costs $8, so i saved a lot ($9) by buying a larger size!
i made a page on my website for my paintings. i'm a little insecure about this. my paintings aren't great, and the photos of them are even worse.
