I'm taking a class called Formal Logic in the fall. mostly because there were no required courses available and it was the most interesting course I could find. anyone taken a logic course before? I'm curious what it will be like.

yeah. it's pretty cool. it's very math like, you'll likely focus on propositional logic and quantified logic. if you're logical and decent at math, you'll do great. if you're illogical or just don't think logically, it will be excruciating.

You'll be able to sound exceptionally smart in arguments since most people are exceptionally stupid.

I enjoy formal logic, but it's not always easy for me to do. I like taking a peek at the books I've collected on the topic from time to time :)

cool, sounds like I'll enjoy it. I think that I think logically, and math comes to me pretty easily, so hopefully it won't be excruciating!
