hrm... possibly click the .... 'jump' link? the smiley face tricked me though... im drunk so this may have been a joke.
if i understand you correctly you want to jump to the end of a thread after you've already read (and thus negated the jump link). i guess i would just use the end button but i feel like you would've already considered that.
that's what i was gonna say

Exactly. Why program in an 'End' feature when it's hardwired into your keyboard?
ttf is everywhere.

I don't know how important this is, but I've been noticing lately that (in safari) when I click the "jump" link on freshie threads...it doesn't take me to the most recent post. It takes me to a spot NEAR the end (and it seems to always be posts by you, luke) but I'm not sure why there are inconsistencies going on there? And even when it's taking me to your posts, you usually have a more recent one or two on the same page...
Sometimes it works normally. Today I clicked on four jump links in the ttf development thread and it went to the correct spot 3 out of the 4 times.

I am going to guess that the thread is loading and the browser is going to the right spot, and then some other content that hadn't loaded yet loads above where you're scrolled to and messes it up.
the jump link used to take you to the last post in a thread, but that was not how it was supposed to work.
it should take you to the first new post. it takes you to the post where you should recommence reading.
and now it does.

do you really want it to skip posts that you haven't read and just go to the last post in a thread?

No, I just didn't know that this was how the jump link was supposed to work, or that you just recently changed that.
Thanks for clarifying.
ok. :)
sure.
oh I see. I was wondering why it sometimes would only take me half way through a post or start me at the beginning of the thread. I like :=)
it still seems a little weird. sometimes it jumps in the middle of an actual post.

am I the only one who never uses the jump link?
