So me and a friend are going to write a web app for something and we're doing the front end technology evaluation stuff to decide what we want to use to build the UI. We're leaning torwards php cause we're comfortable with it... but I figured I'd ask you guy what Ajax style webbersphere 2.0 libraries for php you guys have been impressed by.
mootools is kinda nice

Damn sexy, and damn better than you.
As a webmaster, I specifically avoid Web 2.0. Mostly because it's EXACTLY like web 1.4 and web 1.0 and .9, but also because it's a stupid buzzword. Ruby sucks.

@Nillerz,
Ruby has nothing to do with Web2.0. Ruby is a 10 year old programming language from a Japanese programmer. It sucks a bit less than "a webmaster" who thinks its a buzz word.
Rails is probably what you meant to say. Rails still doesn't have to do with Web 2.0. Rails is a web framework with MVC style development.
You apparently describe Web 2.0 as "Glossy Logos" and aren't really familiar with what it's all about. Try to adapt.
web 2.0 is all of those things, it's just a crappy representation of the real meaning of it all. It's an amorphous term that people pick up to fit all sorts of purposes. I don't think the description of the "2.0 aesthetic" for the logos is that far off from what is commonly known as 2.0.
At any rate I don't think anyone should be getting so serious about the terminology.
