I just tore through all the piles of paper I have. Now I have a garbage bag full of stuff from my room that I just threw out. There's also a pile of paper to shred!
I have an action pile on my desk, and one sorting file that needs to be processed before going into my file cabinet.

Just built a contingency (not emergency) bag for my car with an old backpack containing:

I just did this yesterday.
I had a big stack of papers on my desk to sort into my folders (pay stubs, bank statements, bills, etc.). I also weeded old stuff out of my files, like pay stubs from years I've already paid taxes and old receipts.
now there is no pile of papers on my desk and significantly slimmer folders.
my room is also much emptier! I had three trash bags full of clothes and shoes to donate which I finally did yesterday.
